Because COVID-19 is an infectious virus, bleach is my sanitizer of choice during these uncertain times. Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is approved by the EPA to eliminate this virus. When on the road, Purell sanitizing surface wipes and classic Purell hand sanitizer are also my choices of sanitizers.
Please visit the EPA's List N to view approved disinfectants and sanitizers that will successfully kill this family of viruses, including the MERS microorganisms and the SARS microorganisms. Optimal food safety, quality, honesty and ethics are my top priorities. I remain committed to going the extra mile to protect myself, grocery store workers, and all my clients.
During this pandemic, I follow a strict food preparation code under CDC's COVID-19 guidelines. I wash my hands more, rinse, and sanitize all surfaces with increased frequency. Being a ServSafe-accredited Certified Food Protection Manager, I am insured with ACORD insurance with a $2,000,000.00 policy.
I wear a mask and use hand sanitizer in public as well as use food-grade gloves to handle raw and ready-to-eat foods. I use professional towel and apron laundering and wear hair coverings. Knowing and practicing integral hygiene makes me feel confident going about business-as-usual in my field of work.
